Welcome!

I suppose after 40 years of following Jesus, along with marriage and raising a couple of kids, I can claim “street cred” as a Faithful Wife and Mother.

But that doesn’t mean I ever had all the answers.

What I did have was a community of women who invested in me, and in my family.

Their holy work in my life looked like prayer, encouragement, advice, tactful rebuke, a shoulder to cry on, and an occasional meatloaf when I had no idea what to cook.

Because of them, I’m spiritually, practically, and relationally stronger.

This space is one way I pay it forward, because someone else may need encouragement too.

If that’s you, I’m glad you are here.

A little about me

My favorite season is autumn. Born, raised, and firmly rooted in western New York State, the hills and valleys of the Finger Lakes region are at their most beautiful in the fall.

I met my husband Stefan in college. We were both Animal Science majors and wanted to be veterinarians. After a dismal attempt at college physics, I decided marrying a vet was ambitious enough for me.

We have a son, a daughter, and two in-law children I adore. They are the reason I’m passionate about building meaningful, faith-filled connections across generations.

I’ve worn a lot of hats in 25 years on staff at my church – communications director, office manager, Bible study teacher, small group leader. I’ve also tramped the church neighborhood looking for literal lost sheep when a panicked ewe bolted over the fence of our temporary sheepfold during an outdoor living nativity.

I was a “drama mama” when my kids were in school, using my sewing skills on theatre costumes, band uniforms, and orchestra concert attire. My ongoing side hustle in alterations and creative sewing funds my writing life.

A rainy day spent with a jigsaw puzzle, a latte, and an audiobook is a tiny slice of heaven.

Being a contributing author to a collaborative book has whet my appetite for publishing, and I plan to write more on my own. For now, you can find my book, “Reclaiming Me: Embracing Life and Purpose With an Empty Nest” on Amazon.
